Newhall Ranch High Country Recreation and Conservation Authority
The Newhall Ranch High Country Recreation and Conservation Authority is a joint exercise of powers agency formed by
the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the County of Los Angeles, and the City of Santa Clarita. Its purpose is the conservation and
management of public open space lands set aside for habitat and recreation pursuant to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
approval of the Newhall Ranch project, the Westridge project, and any other such open space lands dedicated by Newhall Land Company
or its successors.
