The Mountains Conservation and Education Authority (MCEA) was created in 1986 as a partnership between the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains. MCEA can serve as an additional instrument through which the Conservancy can apply for grant funding for educational programs.
